Copper oxide reducing agent

Model : COR01

Test report of copper oxide reducing agent COR01 and copper protecting agent COP01 applied to oxygen-free copper block to remove oxidation marks and prevent re-oxidation

  1. Before cleaning, there are four oxygen-free copper blocks provided by the customer. The customer requests to soak COP01 after soaking the copper blocks No. 1 and 2. For copper blocks No. 3 and 4, the customer requires that only COP01 be soaked.

  2. in room temperature. Soak with 10% copper oxide reducing agent COR01.
    COR01 is a reduction method to reduce copper oxide to copper, and has the effect of surface agglomeration, which can protect the copper alloy from oxidation.

  3. It may be that the oxygen-free copper block provided by the customer is slightly oxidized. After soaking for 2 minutes, it is found that the darker spots on the original copper block have disappeared.

  4. After soaking for 5 minutes, take it out and rinse it with clean water. No. 1, 2 and No. 3, 4 oxygen-free copper blocks are placed in 10% COP01 copper protective agent at room temperature. Soak for 10 minutes.

    After soaking COP01, there is no significant difference in surface color and gloss.
    The actual test, standing at room temperature, found that after 6 months of storage, it can also effectively prevent the copper block from continuing to oxidize and blacken.

Copper Oxide Reducing Agent COR01 (Copper Oxide Reducing agent) Applied to Golden Finger Cleaning Test Report

After the copper alloy is washed, degreased or heated, the surface is oxidized and becomes dull. In the past, acid or abrasives were used to dissolve and remove copper oxide on the surface, and after exposing bright new copper, it was then protected with anti-rust agents such as BTA to prevent the exposed new copper from continuing to oxidize. Xiwei Copper Oxide Reductant COR01 uses a reduction method, which can restore copper oxide to the original luster of copper alloy, and form a water-soluble passivation layer to prevent re-oxidation and discoloration of copper alloy.

  • Copper oxide reducing agent COR01 does not contain BTA and aromatic compounds, and has no doubts about carcinogenicity;
  • 100% complete miscibility with water (BTA water solubility is only 3%);
  • Unlike BTA, which forms too tenacious chelation state with copper, it affects the conductivity of copper surface. Need to use 10% sulfuric acid and other strong acids to remove.
  • Copper oxide reducing agent COR01 is 100% biodegradable and more in line with environmental protection requirements. Can be applied to copper, gold, silver, tin and their alloys.
  1. Before cleaning, there are irregular rust spots on the gold finger surface.
