Amine based surfactant

Model : IFA

Foam persistence test of amine-based surfactant IFA series and various surfactants

  1. Amine-based surfactants IFA01, IFA02, and IFA03 have good foam persistence. In this experiment, various surfactants were juxtaposed with instant amine-based surfactants IFA01, IFA02, and IFA03 to compare their foam persistence.
Experimental method Use a standard foam nozzle to squeeze the foam into 300ml and 1L beakers respectively. As time goes on, observe the amount of residual foam after the foam bursts and disappear, and record it in a graph.

  2. The experimental method is to squeeze the foam into a beaker, and the amount of foam is set to 100%. As time goes by, the thickness of the foam film will gradually become thinner, the color will become transparent, and finally it will gradually rupture and disappear. Record the remaining amount of foam after every 10 minutes, and get the chart below.

  3. in conclusion. Amine-based surfactants IFA01, IFA02, and IFA03 have better foam persistence. The foam produced by most surfactants will break quickly in about 30 minutes, and the foam of instant foaming agent R series will disappear in about 1 hour. However, the foam of IFA01, IFA02, and IFA03 can last for more than 5 hours, and the foam volume can still be maintained at a foam volume equivalent to the initial volume.

The photo below is the instant foaming agent IFA02 (concentration 2%). After foaming, at room temperature, no wind, and the beaker is not sealed, after 24 hours, the foam can still maintain about 80% of the original volume.
