SynGC11G Gel Remover and SynGC09 Synthetic Gel Remover Applied to T-customer TFT(?) Sample Stripping LOCTITE 5192 Optical Liquid Gel Test Report

  1. Make SynGC11 into a Gel shape, numbered as SynGC11G; it is used to control the scope of glue removal, so that the glue remover only touches the residual glue that we want to remove, and does not touch the adhesive tape bonded by LCM.

  2. Bake in a 70degC oven for 4 hours.

    02.jpg

  3. After taking it out, it is found that the area coated with SynGC11G has not changed, but the residual glue on the TFT(?) has not been removed.

  7. Suggestions and discussions:

7.1 SynGC11G gel remover has no significant effect on this LOCTITE 5192 optical liquid glue.
7.2 SynGC9 synthetic glue remover can effectively remove glue. However, SynGC9 synthetic glue remover is an alkaline glue remover, so be careful not to touch ITO, ACF, FPC. Visually, it appears that the side sealant is undamaged. But the backside gate line may be damaged. Need to order a special "ㄇ" type jig, insert the film into the jig, only the glue removal surface is exposed.
7.3 Both SynGC09 and SynGC11G are soluble in water. After removing the glue, they can be cleaned with pure water or wiped clean with alcohol.

  2. Use the synthetic glue remover SynGC14, SynGC15, and silicone cleaning agent SGC04, heat to 60°C, and soak the CG with residual glue.

    14.jpg

    15.jpg

  3. Take it out after 2 minutes, and find that the soaked SynGC14 and SynGC15 CG, the residual glue in the ink area has been completely detached. However, the residual glue in the see-through area of the central glass is only slightly swollen and does not fall off. There is no way to remove the residual glue by wiping it vigorously with a dust-free cloth.

  4. After 5 minutes, it was taken out, and it was found that the CG of soaked SGC04, the residual glue did not fall off at all. There is no way to remove the residual glue by wiping it vigorously with a dust-free cloth.

  5. Increase the heating temperature to 100°C, soak the CG with residual glue in SynGC14 and SynGC15 at 100°C, and extend the soaking time to 60 minutes. It was found that the residual glue in the see-through area of the central glass still did not fall off. There is no way to remove the residual glue by wiping it vigorously with a dust-free cloth.

  6. Soak the CG soaked in the silicone cleaning agent SGC04 for 16 hours at room temperature. It is found that the residual glue has been completely separated automatically.
Especially the residual glue in the see-through area of the central glass can be seen to have completely floated up.

  7. After flushing. Confirm that the residual glue has completely come off.
But a closer look reveals that the CG ink may have been slightly injured. (Refer to the red arrow in the photo)

  8. Put another piece of CG with residual glue into SynGC09 synthetic glue remover, soak at room temperature for 16 hours.

    25.jpg

  9. After taking it out, I found that with a light flick of a dust-free cloth, it was completely separated and the residual glue fell off completely.

  10. Suggestions and discussions:

10.1 SynGC14, 15 synthetic adhesive remover has no significant effect on this 3M 8146-3 optical adhesive.
10.2 Silicone gel cleaning agent SGC04 soaked at room temperature for 16 hours has a good gel removal effect. But it may be harmful to the ink.
10.3 SynGC9 synthetic glue remover can effectively remove glue. After removing the glue, it can be cleaned with pure water.
